Our goal in Physical Education
The goal of our program is to develop students who have the knowledge, skills, and confidence to enjoy a lifetime of healthful physical activity.
Students will:

Learn the skills necessary to participate in a variety of physical activities.

Know the implications and benefits of involvement in a variety of physical activities.

Participate regularly in physical activity.

Value physical activity and its contributions to a healthy lifestyle.
Standards
Our curriculum is developed based off of the Minnesota Academic Standards in Physical Education:
The Student will:
- Demonstrate competency in a variety of motor skills and movement patterns.
- Apply knowledge of concepts, principles, strategies and tactics to movement and performance.
- Demonstrate the knowledge and skills to achieve and maintain a health-enhancing level of physical activity and fitness.
- Exhibit responsible personal and social behavior that respects self and others.
- Recognize the value of physical activity for health, enjoyment, challenge, self-expression, and social interaction.
